ANNOUNCEMENT: A parish book club!

Beginning Thursday, Sept. 28, at 6:30pm, Deacon Bill will lead a Book Club as a new parish Adult Religious Education effort. The Book club will take the place of the bible studies we have done for several years.

The focus of the Book Club is member discussion, not a presentation to a “class” like bible study. For that reason, Book Club gatherings will be limited to 12 participants. If there is sufficient interest, we can have two Book Club groups, one in the evening and one at 10:00am — both on Thursdays.

Our first Book Club choice will be Come, Holy Spirit by Fr. Dolindo Ruotolo. This is a beautiful and inspiring  book on the Holy Spirit dealing with His work on souls. The books speaks about the beatitudes, the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, as well as the charisms the Spirit imparts to souls. Cost per book depends on the number purchased, but will not exceed $4.

If you would like to participate in this Parish Book Club, please call the office to register, indicating your preference for an evening or daytime meeting. Registration will close on September 1. A bulk order of Come, Holy Spirit will be made at that time. Registering indicates an agreement to purchase the book, and payment can be made at the first meeting.
